Hello! My name is Lauren Amis. I was born and raised here in Utah, and grew up for the majority of my life in Riverton. I attended Brigham Young University, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family, my 2 dogs, and my friends. A perfect weekend for me consists of taking our jet skis out on the water - there’s nothing better!
This is my 7th year teaching 4th grade. I find such fulfillment and satisfaction in teaching and couldn’t see myself doing anything else. Teaching challenges me, pushes me, and excites me. I love spending my days with my students and love seeing them learn, grow, make mistakes, and find success. I always want my classroom to be a safe, accepting, and loving place for my students to be. I want my students to learn at high levels, develop a strong self-efficacy, be willing to make mistakes, and develop a deep love of learning. I teach because it brings me so much joy, and I look forward to sharing that joy with you and your students!
