Lunch

Lunch is a very important part of the day for our students. In order to avoid interruptions in servicing your child's school lunch, it is important to keep their lunch account current. School lunches should be paid in advance. Lunch deposit envelopes are available in the office. You may also pay online using Skyward. Monies deposited are immediately available in your child's account.

Students who have a negative balance of $20.00 or more will be served an alternate meal at a charge of $0.75.

As a reminder, you will receive an email daily if your child has a negative account balance. You may update your email address on Skyward at any time during the school year. If you do not have an email address on file, you will receive a weekly note on Wednesdays, or a phone call on Monday and/or Thursday. Thank you for keeping your child's lunch account current.

If your child is eligible for free or reduced-priced meals, it is important to make sure a current free/reduced-price lunch application is completed online at the beginning of each school year. You will find this application when you complete your annual Registration for School in Skyward, or you may pick up an application in the school or district office. Please complete it and turn it in promptly. For students who are new to Jordan School District, it will take approximately five days for approval of free or reduced lunch. During this approval period, students will be charged full price for lunch, or they may bring a cold lunch from home.

Jordan School District nutrition policy does not provide a drink for lactose intolerant students. Parents will need to provide their child's drink or they may get a drink of water from the cooler in the cafeteria.
