Hello, my name is Kelly Lewis and I am one of the librarians here at Antelope Canyon Elementary. I grew up in Taylorsville, Utah, and graduated from the University of Utah with teaching degrees in English and Math.
Before I became a Mom, I taught middle school mathematics and loved it!
My husband and I have 5 children…3 boys and 2 girls (and two dogs). They range in age from 19 to 7 and two of them attend Antelope Canyon, which is so fun! We like to travel, watch our kids perform and play sports, and run a small business.
All of these things keep our family very busy.
Two years ago, I went back to work at Oakcrest Elementary as a Literacy Aide, and last year I opened the Library at Antelope Canyon with Mrs. Gustafson. We love the library so much! I have always been an avid reader and enjoy discussing books with my neighborhood book club. Reading is so critical to students’ learning, and helping students find books that they love is one of our main goals in the library. We hope to inspire students to become lifelong readers and to always enjoy coming to the library.
