Hello! My name is Shelby Anderson, and over the last five years, I’ve taught 4th and 5th grade. I absolutely love it! I graduated from BYU-Idaho, and have an endorsement in English as a Second Language from SUU. I grew up in beautiful Montana, which gave me a deep love for the mountains. Anytime I get a chance to go home to visit, I’ll take it! I enjoy spending time outdoors, going to Bees games, watching the Jazz, playing games, and pretty much any summertime activity. Any time with family and friends is time well spent!
I am a teacher because it’s fun! I love working with kids and seeing them grow into their potential. No day is the same when you are a teacher, and I love knowing that each day can hold something new and unexpected. It keeps me on my toes! I believe that all children can learn, and I find it a privilege to be a small chapter in their journey to discovering what they enjoy and where they can excel.
