Hi! My name is Emma Barney and I am so happy to be teaching fourth grade at Antelope Canyon Elementary! I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Some of my favorite things are the ocean, walking through the gates at Disneyland, game nights, telling stories around a Lake Powell campfire, finishing a good book, and seeing a student have an “aha” moment. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and feel like I have found my calling being in the classroom!
I am a teacher because I love helping children succeed and thrive. I believe each child can reach their potential when they have a positive learning environment, and it is my goal to create a safe, happy environment every day. I love being a teacher and I’m excited to begin this journey together!
