I spent my childhood years in Boise, Idaho, and then moved to Utah to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. Upon graduation from BYU, I was fortunate to be hired in Jordan School District. It has been a wonderful, inspiring journey as a classroom teacher. I have taken a few side trips along the way, including spending a year in Washington, D.C. working for a U.S. senator (fulfilling another dream of mine), and most recently, working with pre-service teachers for a couple of universities. It was a joy to return to the classroom this past year. Being able to teach 5th grade, in particular, is an added bonus! Outside of education, I find joy spending time with my daughter and husband. I love to travel, try new recipes, read, play the piano, and do digital scrapbooking.
I am a teacher because I want to make a positive difference in the life of every child whom I have the privilege of calling my student.
