Jenny McNees | Academic Communication Support

Hi! I'm Jenny McNees, and I'm thrilled to be working at Antelope Canyon! I grew up in Utah, and currently live in Herriman with my husband, five kids, three step-kids, four goats, two dogs, a beta fish, and a leopard gecko that my daughter named "Tiny Jenny." I can't imagine a happier chaos! I love spending time with my family, gardening, traveling, reading, and doing anything outdoors. I'm always up for a good adventure or a road trip. I hate to cook, but I really like to eat!

I've worked with kids for many years. When my own kids were young I taught piano and worked with special needs children in foster care. Once they were all a little older, I spent a few years working with 1st graders, and then a year as a special ed para working with 7th-9th graders as I finished my degree in special education. I am currently working on a Masters's Degree at Western Governors University and also look forward to earning my ESL endorsement later this year.

I teach because I LOVE kids! I love the way they see the world and the perspective I get from them. I love how they light up when they accomplish something that is difficult, and I love celebrating their success with them. I love watching them grow and start to discover the person they want to become. I'm excited to create a classroom where we work hard and feel safe and comfortable learning from each other...at our own pace and in our own ways. We are going to have so much fun!!!
