Hi! My name is Juli Oakeson. I grew up in Utah and graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Utah University. I am a wife and a mother of 4 children, two of which attend Antelope Canyon Elementary. It's the best! Teaching is my passion - I was lucky enough to be a kindergarten and first grade teacher for a few years before having children, then spent a lot of time volunteering in school when they were younger. As a school teacher, I have always loved teaching math and science the most because there are so many ways to make them fun. When I'm not teaching, I love to read and play the piano, and spend time with my family and friends.
I teach STEM at Antelope Canyon, which is pretty much the coolest job ever. I love making science, technology, engineering, and math hands-on and exciting for all students, and I love that I get to work with all ages of students at our school. I love helping them learn all the right tools to creatively solve problems, and helping them develop the confidence to use them. We are the luckiest to have a STEM lab, and my hope is that all students find something in STEM that really inspires them to think and ask questions, because learning never stops!
